Chelsea Gibb's rise to fame began after graduating from a three-year Bachelor of Arts Degree in Musical Theatre (Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts - WAAPA). It was at her first audition that Chelsea was selected by the American Producers of Chicago - The Musical, for the lead role of Roxie Hart.

Chelsea toured in the lead role of Roxie Hart for four years in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and South-East Asia. She then went on to star in the lead role of Reno Sweeny in the Production Company's production of Anything Goes. In 2004 Chelsea starred in the World Premiere Season of Get Happy-The Musical in Sydney in the starring role of Ruby Red.

Chelsea has appeared in various television programs including Good Morning Australia, In Melbourne Tonight, Mornings with Kerri Anne, Just Fresh, The Lost World, Sale of the Century (guest host) and All Saints. Chelsea was also a regular guest on Foxtel and Channel 10's Beauty and the Beast.

Chelsea made her film debut in the Warner Brother's movie – George of the Jungle 2 and subsequently appeared as Vicky Tremelli in the Australian film, Josh Jarman.

Chelsea has performed in many large concerts and corporate events around Australia and overseas including Carols by Candlelight (Melbourne and Sydney), Top of the Pops (Western Australia) and the opening of the Olympic Stadium for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.

Over the last four years Chelsea has been performing in Corporate Events and shows most notably with the lead role of "Queenie" in Andrew Lippa's "The Wild Party". Chelsea has recently taken time out to focus on what has been her most rewarding role to date - motherhood, nurturing her two beautiful children. It is only recently that Chelsea has made a strong choice to re-emerge into the world of Musical Theatre, returning with a renewed love of her craft. Chelsea has just returned from a very successful trip to London where she has was invited over to audition and meet with casting agents. She has had huge success in her first ever Cabaret show "Lucy & Jessie" which is still being performed around Australia. More recently Chelsea began work on a new musical "Pink" as the role of Grace, and in July this year (2010) Chelsea will Star in "The King & I" as the lead role of Anna for The Production Company in Melbourne.
